# Email Logging

Bolstra’s Email Auto Logger is a simple base module that, when activated by you, connects your Bolstra workspace to your Gmail or Outlook email account. Authorization is done by the individual user.

Bolstra monitors incoming and outgoing emails on the connected account and only logs an email when the email address sending you the message or the one to whom you are sending a message is a match to the email address of a contact on an account in Bolstra. The email is then logged to that account.

Logged emails are created in Bolstra as activity cards. Those cards are automatically closed (so no action is required) and are immediately accessible as a part of the overall account history to both the account owner as well as other Bolstra users. Our communication with our customer is a critical part to reviewing and understanding our accounts.

## Setting Up Email Logging

Once you are logged into Bolstra, from any screen click on the drop-down in the upper right-hand corner of the page and select “My Profile” from the menu.
